Last month the team at Civerinos launched a ‘dough it yourself’ DIY pizza kit, which can be used to recreate their chocolate calzone dessert at home – using Easter eggs.

The restaurants launched a range of chocolate calzone pizzas in 2018, by adding sweets such as chocolate orange, Toblerone, wispa and Nutella to their pizza dough base. These desserts all featured fillings and toppings including whipped cream, icing sugar and walnuts as well as fruit.

Diners could also ‘choose your vice’ and create a calazone dessert with their favourite chocolate bar. Last year the team added Easter egg chocolate to the mix as a seasonal treat.

How to make your own chocolate calzone

Now, given the current UK lockdown, the team at Civerinos are urging customers to try and make the dessert at home and have released a video on how to do just that.

You’ll need to pre-book a delivery of the Civerino DIY pizza kit, which can be done by contacting Civerinos directly by emailing [email protected], and your favourite Easter egg.

Then simply break up the chocolate you want to use into the rolled out dough, shaped into a calzone, press down on the edges to seal the chocolate in and bake.

Civerinos are selling a x2 Pizza Kit for £10 and a x4 Pizza Kit for £18 and are currently only delivering to Edinburgh city centre. They are only creating a set number of the pizza kits per day for their pizza fans so when they’re sold out, they’re gone.

If you’re still needing a pizza hit then the brand are also offering contactless delivery and collection within Edinburgh city, with the small team that they have working from Civeirnos Slice.

Please order directly through Civerinos online, using the app or call to make an order on 0131 2254026.
