The four-bedroom property is based in Portobello on Milton Road in the grounds of a graveyard.

Edinburgh-based architects Archilife, established in 2013, are understood to have carried out the design element of the show, which sees homeowners do up their current home while going on a house hunt with Phil Spencer, before deciding whether they want to stay put or move at the end of the show.

The programme airs on Channel 4 at 8pm tonight and will feature homeowners Gary and Bill on their journey on whether they will decide to sell or stay in their Capital home.

According to the synopsis on Channel 4, Bill loves its ‘quirkiness’, but Gary hates the ‘higgledy-piggledy’ layout.

The show will last for approximately 45 minutes and will come to a conclusion on what the homeowners based in Edinburgh decide what to do - will they love it or will they list it?
