The opportunity is open to children under the age of 13, but only 10 positions are up for grabs.

The lucky 10 will get the chance to play with and review a range of items from Aldi’s online toy store, which includes science tricks, ride-on cars and boxes filled with magic tricks.

And as an added bonus, each child will be ‘paid’ for their time with a year’s worth of toys.

As well as being comfortable in front of a camera, applicants must be big toy fans and know about all the latest toy trends, including knowledge of Aldi’s hugely popular Kevin the Carrot range, which sold out just hours after release.

The deadline for uploading your application video is Monday 23 December.

The videos will then be judged by Aldi’s Toy Team, with the winning entries set to be uploaded to the supermarket’s website, as well as on Mumsnet.

Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi UK, said: “At Alid we’re always looking for new ways to ensure our toys stay ahead of the game.
