187k visitors enjoy Royal Highland Show at Ingliston
Scotland’s biggest celebration of farming, food and rural life saw 7000 of the UK’s finest livestock compete for £225,000 of prize money and 280 trophies worth around £2 million.
Two new themed bars – the Botanical Garden, serving Scottish gins, and The Stetson – proved popular additions.

Hide AdThe show dance, held each night, attracted around 6000 revellers over the four days.
More than 30,000 children attended the Show for free over the four days, with many learning about food, farming and the countryside at the Royal Highland Education Trust’s Education Centre.
Attending Scotland’s largest outdoor event were some of Scotland’s finest chefs including Jamie Scott and Lady Claire Macdonald.
Chief executive of the Royal Bank of Scotland, Ross McEwan, and a number of political figures, including Fergus Ewing, Ruth Davidson, David Mundell and Rory Stewart, also attended.
