A MAN who used his 20-stone weight to pin a pregnant woman to a bed before raping her has been sent to jail for six years.

A court heard how Leslie Andrew, 42, terrified his victim into submission and ignored her protests.

He later admitted to another woman what he had done, telling her he had to get sex somehow.

Andrew, from Kilwinning, Ayrshire, pleaded guilty to the rape at a house in Broxburn, at some time during 1993 and to later physical assaults on the woman.

He also admitted repeatedly assaulting another woman at addresses in Glasgow and Maybole, Ayrshire, and sexually molesting a 15-year-old girl.

Sentencing him at the High Court in Edinburgh, judge Lord Pentland told Andrew his conduct had seriously affected his victims, particularly the second woman who had suffered “devastating violence” when she was pushed around, thrown along a corridor and half throttled.
