73% of Edinburgh residents caught out by window cleaner

A new study has found that 73% of people in Edinburgh admit to being caught out unexpectedly by a window cleaner.

An independent study analysed whether people had been caught out when the window cleaner visited. 31% of people confessed to have been seen changing clothes, and a further 28% have been caught fresh from the shower wearing only a towel when their windows were getting cleaned.

A further 8% of Edinburgh residents were spotted on the toilet.

After being caught out by the window cleaner, 35% of Edinburgh locals admitted that their natural instinct was to run away and hide, however almost a quarter were so mortified they have not used a window cleaner since.

48% of residents admitted that the reason they were caught out was due to a false sense of security as they weren’t expecting them, 38% forgot to close their curtains or blinds, and just over a fifth got carried away with what they were doing.

In contrast to residents. only 8% of window cleaners felt embarrassed by what they saw, whilst just under 40% simply laughed. 14% admitted to being so shocked by the scene in front of them that they almost fell off their ladder.
