A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested and charged after police recovered around £88,000 worth of drugs from an address in the Dedridge area of Livingston.

Officers searched a premises in Herald Rise on Saturday where they found heroin, cocaine and cannabis.

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Constable Ally Urquhart from Livingston police station said: “Drugs cause untold damage to families across the country and I am pleased to say that this latest activity has ensured that a considerable amount of substances are now off our streets.

“Police Scotland is committed to reducing the threat, risk and harm which the supply of drugs has on communities and we will continue to take every opportunity possible to disrupt and detect this illegal activity.”

It came after drugs with a street value of around £100,000 were seized from a car near Lockerbie on Friday.
