EDINBURGH MP Alistair Darling has received more than £116,000 over the past year for giving speeches.
The former chancellor and leader of the Better Together campaign netted the sum - nearly double his £67,000 MP’s salary - for 11 public appearances, including a payment of nearly £13,000 from the Asset Based Finance Association.
Mr Darling, MP for Edinburgh South West, is among 20 Westminster MPs who earned more than £100,000 from their second jobs last year.
Three other Scots are also on the list - former prime minister Gordon Brown, Sir Malcolm Rifkind and George Galloway.
