Allan on his mark for launch

Scotland’s fastest ever man and former Olympic 100 metre champion Allan Wells is set to launch a new sprinting initiative at Liberton High School.

The Street Sprint initiative is being delivered by scottishathletics in partnership with the Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities, which uses funds recovered from criminals to offer free activities for young people.

Street Sprint will provide opportunities for young people across Scotland to engage in athletics.

The launch will be held on September 30, when Mr Wells will be joined by Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill MSP, as well as pupils from Liberton High School.
