Annual charity market sets out its stall

A CHILDREN’S charity is to hold its annual fundraising market in the Lothians.

Save the Children’s country market will take place at the Corn Exchange in Haddington, East Lothian, on October 1.

The event, run by the charity’s East and Midlothian branch, usually generates around £15,000 and has a wide range of stalls offering home baking, clothes, flowers, fruit and vegetables, plants, toys, sweets, books and bric a brac.

There will also be a country café offering teas, coffees, sandwiches and traybakes during the market, and a Save the Children stall and a raffle.

Haddington Pipe Band will parade on High Street at 10.45am with collecting cans for the charity.
