Appeal after grab attempt

Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged attempted purse snatch in Edinburgh last Thursday.

The incident happened in Argyle Place around 5pm when a 21-year-old woman was allegedly approached by a man.

A 40-year-old man has been charged in connection with this incident and was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and who may have seen what happened to call 0131-311 3131 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111.
