Police are appealing for help to trace a man reported missing in Livingston.

Ali Reza Habibollahi is believed to have left his home in Dawson Avenue sometime yesterday and has failed to return home.

It is believed the 47-year-old may try and travel overseas, possibly to the Netherlands and anyone who has seen him since Thursday is asked to come forward.

Mr Habibollahi’s family are concerned for his welfare and officers are keen to speak with him as soon as possible to check that he is safe and well.

He is described as 5ft 6ins, heavy build, short greyish/white receding hair, and a mole on his right cheek. It is thought that he was wearing dark suit-style trousers when he was last seen. However, there is no further description of his clothing.

A Police Spokesman said: “We are conducting thorough inquiries to locate Mr Habibollahi as soon as possible, but would urge anyone who can assist with our investigation to contact police immediately.

“Similarly, if Mr Habibollahi hears this appeal, he is asked to get in touch with a friend, loved one, or with police to let us know where he is and that he is alright.”

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101.
