Approval for housing plan

A BLUEPRINT for housing, investment and services in East Lothian over the next five years has been approved by councillors.

To cope with the county’s rapidly growing population, it is anticipated that a supply of 6835 new properties may be needed.

Councillor Stuart Currie, cabinet member for housing, said: “The Local Housing Strategy will help us to better plan housing, development and services to meet our residents’ needs.”
