His Snapchat showed him posing in front of some of the Capital’s most iconic sites and joking around with the legions of photographers and fans hot on his tail.

“We’re in Edinburgh, Scotland, riding our bike early in the morning. As you can see, there’s all kinds of activities.

“Look at this beautiful view. Man, look at the castle, everything in the background. Wow, I love biking here in Edinburgh.

“So when you ride around places like Edinburgh, Scotland, you see great sites - look at this castle here, wow!

“The paparazzi were all after me [during the bike ride], and one of them kept up - look at this guy!”

It wasn’t all plain sailing though as the Terminator star ended up cycling on the wrong side of the road at one point.

Heading out of the Waldorf Astoria hotel, the 68-year-old whizzed up Lothian Road into two lanes of oncoming traffic during rush hour.

One onlooker said: “He came out of his hotel and went for a bike ride. He was driving on the wrong side of the road. It was dangerous.

“There were two lanes of traffic coming towards him. He was risking his life.

Also, he wasn’t wearing a helmet.

“He was very cheery and very happy and looked like he was enjoying himself. He then stopped in the middle of a junction and took selfies with his pals.”

The star was later pictured leaving Edinburgh in a silver BMW.
