Art collection looks to be streets ahead

A NEW art collection depicting some of the city’s most iconic buildings and shop fronts is to be unveiled in the West End later this week.

The Edinburgh Life & Soul exhibiton, which features Capital bars such as Deacon Brodie, The Black Bull and Sandy Bell’s, will be revealed at a special showing in the West End on Thursday.

Polish artist Maciej Mackiewicz, 35, said he started painting the city’s street scenes after being inspired by their beauty.
