Artists set for exhibition

An inclusive group of artists, including many with learning difficulties and mental health issues, are to display their work for the first time.

The group, based at the WHALE Arts in Wester Hailes, will exhibit hand-painted greeting cards, canvases and reliefs on the theme of giving.

Supported by Comic Relief and the National Lottery’s Big Lottery Fund, the group’s show will be held at The Gallery on the Corner, with a public preview on Thursday, May 29.

Sarah Wain, WHALE Arts project co-ordinator, said: “A show of this scale is a first for the group, everyone has put in a load of work, and are so pleased with the quality of the pieces.”
