Arts base out of the blue

Have your say

A LEADING Fringe venue is to be turned into a year-round arts base after talks between the city council and a charity.

Out of the Blue, the trust which runs the Bongo Club nightclub, is said to be on the verge of a deal to take over the Underbelly’s long-established base under the Central Library on George IV Bridge.

Permanent performance and event spaces would be created and it is hoped the deal can be concluded in time to allow the new Bongo Club – which has been facing an uncertain future – to open in the spring.
