Award for history series

THE compilers of a seven- volume series charting life in East Lothian since the Second World War have won a prestious local history award.

East Lothian 1945-2000 Forth Statistical Account is assembled by the local authority’s library services and offers insights into the daily lives of people within the county from the mid-20th century onward. The collection won the Alan Ball Local History Award for 2010. The prizegiving was instituted in 1985.
