Barn plan is approved

DEVELOPERS are set to turn farm buildings into houses after their plans were approved by council chiefs.

Mr D Bathgate and Mrs J Darling applied for planning permission in March to convert the barns on Capielaw Farm in Rosewell into two homes.

The proposals were approved by Midlothian Council, with the provision that work gets under way within three years. The developers must have an archaeological evaluation of the site before work can begin.
