Barrhead Travel looking for new recruits to travel the globe

In recent years, over 500 members of staff at Barrhead Travel have taken a trip of a lifetime as part of their day-to-day work routine and more of these opportunities are on offer for the right candidates.

Employees have been sent to exotic resorts in Mauritius and Jamaica, embarked on cruise ships up the Alaska coast and visited destinations from Durban to Tokyo, to name a few of the far-flung locations that Barrhead Travel have offered opportunities to their wanderlust workforce.

A strong desire to travel the world is required of many Barrhead Travel staff members as part of ongoing training to enhance their destination and product knowledge and allow them to pass on insights and expertise.

Customers are seeking out authentic holidays full of true local flavour which is why, as Sharon Munro, CEO of Barrhead Travel, says well travelled staff are a key asset to the organisation:

A person who personifies the travel opportunities within Barrhead Travel is Jade Semple, Business Development Manager, who joined Barrhead Travel when she was just 16. Since then she has been on familiarisation trips to Dubai and locations in the US. This is in addition to travelling extensively for travel conferences in Berlin, London and Washington DC.

Jade said: “The training and development I have received at Barrhead Travel has been phenomenal since I joined. Sometimes when I’m travelling abroad to somewhere amazing I can barely believe my luck that this is all part of the job.
