Dogs Trust West Calder is appealing to local dog lovers to help find homes for a pair of golden oldies in need of a place to retire.

May, a fifteen year old Staffordshire Bull terrier and Clive, a ten year old crossbreed have a combined age of twenty five and staff are hoping it won’t be another quarter of a century before they find their perfect homes.

Dogs Trust West Calder Rehoming Centre Manager, Susan Tonner, said: “Older dogs can be really rewarding and often make ideal companions for people who spend most of their time at home. May and Clive are lovely, friendly dogs and we are really hoping they can find love and a second chance at happiness in new homes.

“May loves to make friends with both people and dogs. She is a sweet, loyal lady who still has lots of spirit in her. May enjoys exploring her surroundings on daily walks and is happiest when cosying up in pile of blankets for an afternoon snooze.

“Clive is fun, playful character who loves his home comforts, he especially enjoys relaxing on a pile of blanket with a big juicy bone. Despite his age, he is very active and enjoys pottering about on his walks. He is looking for

a quiet home with easy access to a garden and not too many stairs to climb.

“All dogs deserve a happy home and we would love to help May and Clive find their perfect retirement homes. If you would be interested in giving either May or Clive a home, please give us a call, we would love to hear from you!”

If you would like to offer Clive or May a home please contact Dogs Trust West Calder at Bentyhead, West Calder EH55 8LE or on 01506 873 459.
