Big Festival ticket rush set to start

Tickets for this year’s Edinburgh International Festival go on sale tomorrow, and organisers recommend fans act quickly to secure entry to their first-choice shows.

Among the performances tipped to be the hottest this summer is maestro Valery Gergiev leading the Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra for Prokofiev’s Cinderella, which is choreographed by the dance world’s man of the moment, Alexei Ratmansky.

The European premiere of Deborah Colker Dance Company’s Tatyana, where hot Brazilian moves meet Russian passion, is also expected to sell fast.
