Bike smash witness plea

POLICE have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses after a cyclist was left seriously 
injuried after being knocked down by a car.

The 52-year-old man was struck by a blue Peugeot 307 on Bankhead Drive, Sighthill, at about 5.55am on Monday. He suffered serious pelvic and leg injuries, and is still being treated at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Sergeant Kenneth Brown said: “We are currently working to establish exactly what has happened in this incident”
