Bionics firm’s new products touch down

A LOTHIANS firm that specialises in creating fake limbs has unveiled its latest inventions in the United States.

Livingston-based Touch Bionics unveiled new and upgraded products at the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association National Assembly in Las Vegas.

Key developments include the i-limb Ultra, an upgraded version of its flagship prosthetic hand, and virtu-limb, a prosthetic training and simulation tool, as well as Living Image, an imaging system that accurately captures the colour and appearance of limbs for the creation of the firm’s Livingskin range of prostheses.
