Bogus caller warning as duo targets home

A WARNING has been issued after reports of suspicious callers in Merchiston Avenue.

Two men are reported to have called at a property claiming to work for a charity called Done and Dusted and offering to sell goods to the homeowner.

When asked for proof of identity, they claimed they had left it in their van and when they were still unable to provide ID after searching for it, they left the property, pledging to return later with identification which they never did.
