Boy, 14, charged with urinating on war memorial

A teenager has been charged with urinating on a World War I memorial in Dunfermline, Fife.

The 14-year-old was reported by police in connection with “anti-social behaviour”.

Police received reports of a large group of teenagers being drunk and disorderly at the memorial in Dunfermline on Friday.

On Tuesday, the force confirmed the teenager had been charged over the incident in the town’s Monastery Street.

A spokesman added: “Inquiries are on-going to trace other individuals involved in this incident on Friday March 10.

“A report will be submitted to the children’s reporter.”

Police Scotland has launched Operation Caber and deployed extra officers to tackle antisocial behaviour, particularly around the town’s bus station and Tesco supermarke

Officers have recently taken names of around 150 youths in the town centre and sent letters to and visited parents.
