Capital offices receive best workplace tribute
Virgin Money’s new office at St Andrew Square was awarded the accolade, which recognises significant work on a building to adapt it for modern use, by the British Council for Offices.
Virgin Money was praised for its innovative transformation of a listed building into an original and welcoming place for staff, guests and customers. Spokesman Graeme Tones said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the Virgin Money team and our internal architects, Spacelabs. Our offices in Edinburgh are modern, bright, spacious and offer a fantastic setting for staff and customers.
“Traditional banks have a transactional in and out model. We want people to linger, and enjoy being part of our club – both customers and community.”
