Cash boost for Lothian volunteers

VOLUNTARY groups in East Lothian are to scoop more than £800,000 in council funding, it has been announced.

A range of bodies are to share in the windfall, though all deliver projects that support community wellbeing.

Councillor Ruth Currie, cabinet member for Community Wellbeing, said: “I’m sure this year, as always, the varied groups who have been given awards will continue to put these funds to good use, to the benefit of a wide range of East Lothian residents.”
