Cash creates jobs boost

Four local businesses have secured new funding expected to result in a 76 per cent rise in the number of people they employ over the next two years.

On the approval of Midlothian Council, the four businesses will now receive loans totalling £129,500 to help them develop their businesses.

The businesses – Bovril Johnston’s Cafe, Hireline, Procure Wizard and Midlothian Physiotherapy – had to meet strict criteria about their eligibility for loans and their ability to repay them.
