Castle concert to mark torch

A MAJOR concert is to be held at Edinburgh Castle to celebrate the arrival of the Olympic torch in the Capital.

The headline act has not yet been named but it is understood they will be Scottish.

The event will take place as the Olympic torch is carried across the country by hundreds of Scots on its way to London for the 2012 Games.

The concert is to be held on June 13, with about 7500 tickets given away.

The city council said there would also be children’s entertainment and non-musical performances.
