A MAN who was taken to hospital with a serious facial injury left without being seen by doctors - sparking a police bid to find him.
Police have released CCTV images in their efforts to trace the individual, who was injured in the Capital in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary at around 5.30am and seen by a nurse.
But he left at around 6.50am, before being examined by doctors.
He gave the name Scott Thom to hospital staff and is described as being about 6ft tall with short brown hair. He was wearing a white shirt with a grey cotton jumper and a black jacket, dark jeans and possibly brown boots.
Police said he had a large lump and cuts on his left temple, with blood and bruising visible on his face.
