Centre sees visitor boost

THE first month at East Lothian’s new John Gray Centre has been declared a huge success.

Nearly 30,000 visitors flocked to the Haddington attraction, which hosts a library, local history centre and archive.

It is also home to a museum offering a historical insight into the East Lothian area.

Margaret O’Connor, East Lothian Council’s cultural services manager, said: “It’s wonderful that so many people have visited the John Gray Centre in the first month – and the feedback has been resoundingly positive. People are really enjoying spending time in the centre.”
