Cerebral palsy boy inspires Hearts challenge

a NINE-year-old boy with cerebral palsy has inspired a team of workers to take on former Hearts players in a fundraising match.

Nathan Craig, nine, of Livingston, West Lothian, is helped by Bobath Scotland, which provides therapy to help mobility and communication.

The team from Sky in Livingston decided to take on the challenge after hearing how the charity had helped Nathan.

They will play a team including ex-Hearts stars Henry Smith, Alan McLaren and Jose Quitongo.

Nathan’s mother Donna said: “Nathan began attending Bobath for therapy just before his fourth birthday. It’s an amazing place and he loves his visits. Our sincere thanks go to the boys who are taking part in the match.”

The match will take place at the Hearts Academy in Riccarton on March 25.
