Charity gets bike boost

a STUDENT from the Capital is taking part in a 1000 mile bike race to raise money for veterans’ charities

Emma Byatt, 19, is part of the Cambridge University Officers’ Training Corps (OTC) team competing against Oxford University in the Varsity Triple Crown Challenge.

They will ride from London to Edinburgh, Cardiff, and back to London, to raise £50,000 for Combat Streets and ABF The Soliders’ Charity.

Ms Byatt, who is studying natural sciences at Jesus College, is a former Fettes pupil and is the under-20 Commonwealth fencing champion.
