Charity issues driver appeal

A CHARITY is appealing for volunteer drivers to help collect donations.

The Salvation Army is making the appeal for its five Edinburgh shops.

Regional manager Shirley Morris said: “We hope that by providing a collection service, we can make it really easy for people to donate to us.”

The charity said volunteers didn’t necessarily need vans and that cars with reasonably-sized boots would do. Anyone interested in offering their services is urged to call 0131-229 8787.
