Ciggy patrols on the tweet

COUNCIL wardens will be tweeting updates today as they crack down on litterbug smokers in Gorgie and Dalry.

Fines of £50 may be handed out to anyone caught dropping cigarette ends and patrols have been increased.

The initiative also includes smoking pouches being handed out to relevant local businesses in the area to distribute.

The wardens will be updating the @southwest_team account on Twitter with their news from the beat.
