City firm wins metro line bid

EDINBURGH-BASED architects RMJM have won the contract to design one of three new metro lines being built in the Indian city of Hyderabad.

The 14-kilometre route, which will have 13 elevated stations and two interchange stations, is due for completion in 2015.

RMJM, who worked with Catalan architect Enric Miralles on the Scottish Parliament building, will handle the metro contract from their Singapore office.
