City green bank plea

A FINANCE expert has called for the Westminster Government to create its new green investment bank in Edinburgh.

Rob Cormie, managing director of Quayle Munro Corporate Finance, said it would “show great faith in the ability of the UK’s regions” if such an “important institution” is located in the city.

A decision is expected on the headquarters of the new institution by next May, with Edinburgh said to be in a head-to-head battle with London.
