CITY WILL WARM TO INSULATION SCHEME

EDINBURGH is to receive £660,000 for home insulation over the next year.

The cash is part of a £12.5 million Scottish Government energy efficiency drive, which will see 200,000 homes across the country offered help to save on fuel bills.

The Universal Home Insulation Scheme will be administered by local authorities, which will decide which areas to target.

Infrastructure and Investment Secretary Alex Neil said: “With the onset of winter just round the corner, we need to offer support and immediate assistance to those most in need to help them heat their homes.
