City’s 24hr Twitter test

The city council is to take part in a national 24-hour experiment using the social networking site Twitter.

The 24-hour Twitter event will feature 29 of Scotland’s local authorities.

From noon on Tuesday until noon the following day, the council will provide constant updates on the daily running of Scotland’s capital city using the Twitter name “#whatwedo”.

The event has been organised by the National Communications Group, which brings together communications officers to promote local government.
