Compassion by the mile

A RUNNER has left London in a bid to complete a marathon each day before arriving in the Capital in a fortnight.

The 15-marathon journey of Michael Nowicki, a recreation nurse from Edinburgh, will take him through Hertford, Pontefract, York, Durham and Peebles, arriving in his home city on May 13. He will be wearing super-thin shoes.

Michael, who is raising money for the Scottish Association for Mental Health, said: “I was inspired to use this challenge to raise awareness of mental health issues after losing my 19-year-old cousin to suicide four years ago.”
