Contracts worth £5m awarded to projects

Contracts worth more than £5 million have been awarded by East Lothian Council over the summer.

Included in the contracts were £1.5m for a building in Tranent to bring together existing council services on the site of the former Winton Place Amenity Services Depot, including a library, community space, council housing and customer services offices.

The contracts also included £887,000 for a floodlit all-weather track and pitch at Meadowmill and £282,000 for enabling works on the project to create a new joint school campus for Haddington Infant School and St Mary’s Primary School. The creation of 14 new council homes in Macmerry received £1.6m and there was £308,000 for a new electronic document and records management system.
