A POLICE helicopter was sent into action to locate motorcyclists spotted speeding and “driving aggressively” in Craigmillar.
Four men were arrested and charged in connection with antisocial behaviour on common ground between Greendykes Road and Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on Thursday night.
Two men aged 28 and 16 were due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court while another 16-year-old and a 41-year-old have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Inspector Roddy Hardy said: “Driving inappropriately at such high speeds is not only dangerous for the rider, but puts other members of the public at risk.
“The issue of antisocial motorcycle riding is an ongoing concern for many residents within our community and we are committed to utilising the resources at our disposal to tackle this matter.
“Anyone who wishes to report a crime of this nature can contact Police Scotland on 101”.
Officers also seized five motorbikes, which they said were “subject to further investigation”.
