Council evicts drug dealers

TWO council tenants have been evicted from their homes in connection with drug dealing offences.

Joanne Doig, 31, was evicted from Moir Avenue, Musselburgh after a hearing at Haddington Sheriff Court.

The court heard that Doig had been a joint tenant of Dean Purdie, who had a number of convictions involving heroin dealing in and around his home.

David Black, 64, was evicted from Ormiston Crescent East, Tranent, after the court heard of his two convictions for drug dealing within the property.
