A COUPLE have been accused of performing a sex act in the grounds of a high school – in front of a group of children.

Karen Cosgrove and partner Kevin Connolly are alleged to have committed an offence of public indecency at Ross High School in Tranent

Cosgrove, 35, failed to lodge a plea when she appeared Haddington Sheriff Court yesterday and will return to court next month.

Connolly failed to appear at the court to face the charge and had a warrant issued for his arrest.

Cosgrove and Connolly, both of Tranent, are accused of committing an offence of public indecency in that she performed a sexual act on him on June 28.

It is also alleged Cosgrove committed the offence after having been granted bail at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on March 18.
