FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire at a recycling depot in the city yesterday.
The blaze broke out in a large quantity of rubbish in Albert Road just before 6pm.
Nobody was injured in the fire, which 11 firefighters attended with three appliances from McDonald Road and Marionville.
A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service said: “A large quantity of rubbish was alight out in the open, which caused quite a big plume of smoke at one point.
“Firefighters used two lines of hose to extinguish the fire, and a JCB was helping us.”
