Appeal to trace missing Hawick woman last seen in Edinburgh

Concerns are growing for a missing Hawick woman who was last seen in Edinburgh at the weekend.

Jade McCrae, 33, was last spotted in the Little France area of the Capital at 2am on Sunday, 5 August.

There have been no sightings of her since that time and fears are now growing for her welfare.

She is described as white, 33 years old, 5ft 6 inches tall, medium build with brown shoulder length hair.

She was last seen wearing a multi-coloured top, dark spotty rain coat, and black leggings. She was carrying a light coloured handbag and possibly using a set of crutches.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “ We are keen to establish Jade’s whereabouts as soon as possible and anyone who believes they have seen her since Sunday is asked to come forward.

“In addition, we would ask that Jade get in touch with friends, family or police and let us know you are safe and well.”

The statement continued: “Any information to assist with this inquiry would be greatly appreciated and should be reported to Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1791 of 5th August 2018.”
