Bingham assault: Man arrested following police investigation into serious Edinburgh assault

Police Scotland has confirmed that a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault in Edinburgh last week.

The assault took place at around 3.55pm on Wednesday, July 21, on Bingham Medway in the Capital.

As a result a 31-year-old man was taken to hospital while a 57-year-old man was treated at the scene.

The man was due to appear in Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, July 27.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.
