Body found in Blackburn during search for missing Whitburn man

A body has been found in Blackburn during the search for Jonathon Donaldson, who went missing on November 11.

The 26-year-old man from Whitburn left his work at around 4pm that day and was last seen near a post office at around 5.30pm.

Concern for his well-being had started to grow, prompting police to extend the search, involving police dogs, helicopters and officers on foot, which took place on Saturday in both the Whitburn and Armadale areas.

West Lothian Police said on Twitter: "A body has been found during the search for Jonathon Donaldson from Whitburn.

"Formal identification has yet to take place, but his family have been made aware. Thanks to all who helped during the search."
