Cocaine dealer ordered to pay £1000

A MAN who was caught with cocaine worth £100,000 on the streets has been ordered to hand over just over £1000 in a confiscation action.

William Reape, 49, was found to have the haul of Class A drugs at his home in Viewcraig Street in Dumbiedykes earlier this year.

Police also found gloves, sets of scales, £400 in cash and two mobile phones.

Unemployed Reape was jailed for four years and eight months at the High Court in Edinburgh in May by Lord Uist, who told him all of the recoveries made by the police indicated “significant drug dealing”.

The Crown brought a confiscation action against Reape to recover any profits from criminal activities.

During a brief hearing at the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday, Lord Bracadale was told that a settlement had been reached, and that £1070 would be confiscated from Reape.
